DCLG Mix-Adjusted House Prices - Regional Trends

House prices vary regionally across the UK, with strong growth typically starting in London and then moving out to other parts of the country. This graph is based on the DCLG mix-adjusted house price index by region and shows the trends from 1998. Prices are plotted quarterly (Table 508), and monthly from Jan 2005 onwards (Table 592). The index is not seasonally adjusted and is sampled at the mortgage completion stage and consequently is lagging about one month behind market activity. Also see the DCLG regional house price pages for your local district, and don't forget the check the house price predictor.
