Notes:
1. The timeline represents different points in the process of buying a house and it's convenient to take zero as representing when a verbal offer is accepted. Sampling lag, point along timeline when the price data is sampled; publishing lag, point along timeline when it's published.
2. Different indices represent the value of a typical house in different ways, for example: a typically transacted house, median value, mean (simple average) value, and so on.
3. LR-HPI is based on sale registrations received (eventually) by LR but is collated for monthly HPI purposes using the sale completion date.
